Chinese version of Amoy Magic Translated by MTS

The Chinese version of Amoy Magic, which was sponsored and translated by MTS, was published in September, 2007.

Amoy Magic is a book by Dr. Bill Brown. The book provides a comprehensive guide to all that there is to know about Xiamen, including travel, investment, business, study, entertainment, history, culture and life in general. The book has been popular among foreigners residing in Xiamen and various social circles since the release of its first edition. The version sponsored and translated by MTS is the 2007 version. The translated text is 450,000 characters and 521 pages in length. Over ten English translators from the Translation Department and International Department were involved in the translation of the text. They translated and proofread the book in their spare time and completed the project to a most satisfactory standard. The quality of the translation has been praised by the publisher and Dr. Bill Brown himself.

Dr. Bill Brown has lived in Xiamen for 20 years. He is a professor at the Business Administration College of Xiamen University. The author of several books including Amoy Magic, Gulang Island Magic, Xiamen University Magic, Fujian Adventure and Magic Fujian, Dr. Bill Brown is an honorary citizen of Xiamen and the first foreigner to be awarded a “Green Card” in Fujian Province.

Dr. Bill Brown is an enthusiastic participant in public welfare activities. His passionate introductions of Xiamen to the world have played a key role in the awarding of a number of prestigious international honors to Xiamen, such as the “UN-Habitat Environmental Award”. Dr. Bill Brown was also honored the national “Friendship Award” by premier Li Peng in 1993, and was named among Xiamen's top ten inspirational figures in 2003.

Dr. Bill Brown is an old friend of MTS. He has spared no effort in promoting the company over the years.
