MTS Staff Contribute to Disaster Relief in Sichuan

On May 17, 2008, MTS staff organized a charitable collection in the company to do their bit in aiding victims of the Sichuan earthquake. Donations to the fund stood at RMB 10,000 Yuan after just a matter of hours, and this money was subsequently handed to the Red Cross to be put towards disaster relief in Sichuan. In the future, we will continue to do our bit to help disaster-stricken people and show that our thoughts are with them. At 2:28 pm, May 12, an earthquake measuring at 8.0 on the Richter Scale shook Wenchuan County in Sichuan. The earthquake sent aftershocks through the hearts of all Chinese people. Countless lives were lost in an instant. The disaster was followed by unprecedented national mourning and charitable donations of money and goods from all echelons of society the likes never seen before.
